Aish Technologies is committed to achieving the highest standards of governance appropriate to its SME status. In an age where a company’s conduct comes under increasing scrutiny, particularly in the defence marketplace, it is more important than ever to demonstrate exemplary business ethics, reinforced with strong internal control mechanisms.
The Aish name has been associated with good business behaviours for many years, and it is a priority of the present custodians of the name that these behaviours should be built on and extended, to ensure that the company is at the forefront of good governance, now and in the future. The Board insists that our business is carried out to the highest standards of honesty and integrity. Good conduct in business dealings is enshrined in policy documents for outward-facing departments and a formal ethical policy is emphasised in the Company Handbook, issued to all employees, that defines expected behaviours.
As part of our commitment to good business ethics, Aish Technologies has signed up to, fully supports and is implementing the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe’s (ASD) Common Industry Standards for European Aerospace and Defence. The Aerospace Industries Association of America (AIA) and Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) have jointly developed Global Principles of Business Ethics for the Aerospace and Defence Industry. These principles are based on best practices, including the Common Industry Standards for European Aerospace and Defence. We recognise that the aerospace and defence industry’s long term success depends on companies upholding integrity in bidding, negotiating and performing contracts and that companies should behave ethically towards their customers, suppliers, competitors, employees and other stakeholders.
Business continuity and disaster recovery planning are fundamental to the well being of an organisation and its ability to continue to deliver on its contracted obligations in the face of unforeseen, difficult or potentially catastrophic circumstances. Business Continuity Management (BCM) is a cornerstone of Aish Technologies’ drive to improve performance and maintain customer confidence. The Aish BCM plan is, by its nature, a company confidential document, but we are more than happy to discuss its contents and disaster planning in general with customers.
