Inspiring young entrepreneurs from St Edwards School competed in the annual Young Enterprise competition. This year’s team, Maiki, created a shoe holder product designed to be a convenient, easy and flexible storage solution for household uses.

It’s with great pleasure that Aish Technologies managed to support the aspiring team to progress and develop the HangAbout product. Together we managed to design a modular shoe holder which had the functionality and aesthetics to bring to market.

Oliver Mintern-Fountain, Production Engineer, did a brilliant job working alongside the team building fundamental prototypes pivotal to the progression of the project.

The competition required the team to launch a start up company, with the main target of creating a feasible product ready for distribution. This included a magnitude of roles, responsibilities and tasks. Over 300 students took part in the contest encouraging individuals to advance their own business skills.

The Maiki team said ‘Working with Aish Technologies has been a great experience as we developed our product. Not only have the team helped us develop our idea into a fully working innovation, they have developed 3 prototypes, each that drew on the strengths of the last. We as a team thoroughly enjoyed the experience and felt respected and empowered as individuals. We overall are grateful for the time and money spent on us and look forward to the future of the HangAbout.’

Aish want to congratulate the team for reaching the semi finals of the competition and want to wish them every success in the future.
